Slumber (poem)

slumber.jpg

There is a place I often go

A secret place that no one knows

A special realm of halted time

This loving place of yours and mine

Our venue is of knights and ladies fair

On wings of fantasy I’m taken there

While in this place I know no harm

As you hold me tight within your arms

And as the sun breaks every morn

My heart it truly cries

For until slumber finds me once again

The tie it will not bind
